“This was hands down the best meal we’ve had in St. John’s so far. The vibe is awesome: loud, busy, great playlist, and just buzzing with energy. The staff are young, clearly love being there, and bring this fun, laid-back energy (think Alberta hockey players with backwards caps and tattoos casually shucking oysters and making cocktails at an upscale spot — somehow it totally works). Service here was actually amazing — our server was super knowledgeable, friendly (but not too much), and on top of everything: you could tell everyone was hustling hard, from the front of house to the kitchen.
Now, the food… wow. Everything is meant to be shared, and dishes come out as they’re ready, which kept things flowing nicely. We had the local oysters (the best I’ve ever had!) with this sweet-and-spicy berry hot sauce, pork belly dumplings, garlic noodles, tuna crispy rice, and the cod bites — each one better than the last. Honestly, it felt like food you’d see on a cooking show. Bold flavors, creative twists, and really well presented.
Bottom line: if you love great food, a fun atmosphere, and solid service — go!”
